Is LOVE DEAD or have ULTERIOR MOTIVES taken over???

I often wonder this and more so over the past few years.  I don't actually believe that love is dead, I think people are after 'other things'  under the pretense of  "LOOKING FOR LOVE" and don't work on the LOVE aspect anymore. I really believe the culture we live in today has no space for REAL LOVE to be a part of life.  People seem to be complaining about relationships and always man-bashing or woman-bashing likewise but people are not coming forward with their REAL TRUE SELF which that in itself is the start of the problems. Also nowadays people are not taking the time out to even see if they're compatible with a future mate, if you have things in common, that you're on the same page, that the person has characteristics and ways that you desire or want in a possible partner.  Nope, people have this thing with them now where they just want to see what they 'can get' out of someone, just after material things or want to be looked after financially etc etc, and this is NOT just women searching for 'money-men' I also know of men trying to chase 'rich women'.  People on a whole should NOT be impressed by one's clothes, car or where they live, because if you strip all them things away there's still a human being under all of that and that's what you NEED to be checking out and NOT anything else.  If people are looking for TRUE LOVE, they need to overlook all of the material things and figure out if that's the kind of person you would and could fall in love with.  At the same time as well as you being out there searching for a mate, you have to check YOURSELF first-1) do you have a good personality?  2) do you have inner qualities that shine through? 3) have you got good characteristics that would make somebody WANT to be with you LONG-TERM? 4) can you stimulate a person's mind, entertain them, have intellectual conversations? 5) can you be the type of mother/father a partner would want to raise their children?  there's so much to relationships, not just  physical attraction/sex appeal and DEFINITELY NOT ULTERIOR MOTIVES.  Life now is such a rush, EVERYTHING is done in haste, we need to go back to the old days when you would court somebody, take it slow, get to KNOW if that somebody is really for you BUT the times we're living in now it's all being done BACKWARDS n that's why people CAN'T MOVE FORWARD!!!!

Have people become 'OVER' sensitive or have we ALLOWED jealousy to take us over???

Oh boy,
How, oh how did people become so sensitive? Or has this jealous way of living really taken over?  I was on my travels around london recently and overheard a conversation a woman behind me on the bus was having on her phone with someone.  She was telling the person that a 'friend' of hers was 'doing GOOD'.  It seems like she had in turn said to that 'friend' that she "wishes she could do GOOD too" and was then accused by the 'friend' of GRUDGING her. The woman on the phone was SOOOOOO UPSET explaining to the listener on the phone, her side of the story, lol.  I kind of felt sorry for her a bit because she was trying her best to prove a point that she was NOT GRUDGING her 'friend'.  Now this can be looked upon in 2 ways because firstly I can understand what she's saying as she claims if she's wishing GOOD FOR HERSELF then how can that be GRUDGING SOMEBODY ELSE, right???  But secondly it could be argued that if she never knew that her 'friend' was 'DOING GOOD' she WOULDN'T have been wishing that SAME GOOD for herself at that moment in time.  Why did she NOT wish for the good before her 'friend' was 'doing good'?   Now what I'm wondering is are people being too over-sensitive or are we living in a completely JEALOUS state where we just make assumptions that everybody is jealous of us?  Hmmmmmm it's tricky.  It's all down to this competitive behaviour where everybody is trying to out-do everybody, all these things are tied together.  'Keeping up with the Joneses' is what the problem is but that's DEFINITELY NOT my thing because as I've said many a time before, that's not my style and whilst people are so busy trying to keep up, I honestly hand on heart DON'T see the Joneses.  I live for ME, do what I LIKE and focus on MY FAMILY.  My belief is that a lot of people have allowed JEALOUSY to take over their mind and this can only be destructive because when you're jealous, whether of a partner, family member, work colleague or friend it clouds your thought process and changes your behaviour and your actions are not logical anymore.  I DON'T LIKE jealousy, I seriously KNOW it's VERY UNHEALTHY and DESTRUCTIVE too.  My feeling is since this woman on the bus was so highly offended by the GRUDGE comment I don't think her and the successful 'friend' are going to remain friends anymore.  It's almost as if we have to be careful of what we say nowadays because it can be misinterpreted quite badly, so something MINOR could turn into something so MAJOR and end a friendship just like that.  Makes you think!!!

What has happened to PEOPLE & FRIENDSHIPS???

Well well,
My brain's ALWAYS working overtime, it's CONSTANTLY BUZZING about life, people, friendships, relationships and the future. Over the past few years after hearing others' stories and from personal experiences of MY OWN I've been left wondering WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO PEOPLE AND FRIENDSHIPS????? I remember years ago as a child, when your parents used to have SOOOOO MANY friends come around to the house, there was laughter, fun, jokes, plenty of eating, drinking and WAAAAAY too much chatting, lol. As a teenager and in your 20's friends were EVERYWHERE but as the 30's hit, something took place that I can't quite put my finger on but I noticed MAJOR CHANGES in people/friends. In recent years I'm not too sure of whats happened to FRIENDSHIPS that once were. Has something changed in people that has made them become MEAN, EVIL, SELFISH and UNCARING??? When did society take on this 'every man for himself' attitude???  People are no longer REAL FRIENDS-there's NO SINCERITY, NO CARING MANNER & NO LOYALTY.  I think people actually KNOW when they are acting this way and showing a bad side to others' but they like to shrug it off as NOTHING when it seriously IS SOMETHING. People just want to use other people now and 9 times out of 10 have an ULTERIOR MOTIVE. I understand totally that people CAN & DO drift apart as their live's take different paths, but to me if you have a friend, it DOESN'T & SHOULDN'T matter what takes place in one's life you should ALWAYS have each others' backs.  Personally I think people have ALLOWED JEALOUSY & GRUDGE to cloud their thoughts and take over and this comes out in the way they ACT towards another individual.  People should ALWAYS remember that their ACTIONS SPEAK SO MUCH LOUDER THAN WORDS, so when one thinks people HAVEN'T recognised what is going on, it's VERY CLEAR to see what IS TAKING PLACE.  I really think it's time for people to look into THEMSELVES and sort it out, clearly there's something NOT QUITE RIGHT for an individual to just show a different side to somebody they call a FRIEND or maybe they never regarded that person as a friend in the 1st place.    Anyhow I KNOW I have ALWAYS been ME, NEVER HAVE I SHOWN ANY BAD SIDE simply because I DON'T have 1, NEVER have I had JEALOUS feelings towards anyone or GRUDGED anybody for anything........IF ONLY people could be this way too, things and friendships would be MUCH BETTER. Well me as one individual CANNOT CHANGE the majority so I guess I'll have to LEAVE THEM TO IT, cos I DON'T work with "if you can't beat them, join them" mentality as that's JUST NOT ME!!!!!!!!

It's just not that easy being SIMPLE

This world we're living in is sooooo messed up. With all the celeb culture, everybody wanting to be famous either through pop stardom or just marrying into money ie; WAGS or whatever other means there are out there, it's actually quite hard BEING SIMPLE. I don't buy into all this 'shallow' way of living-beauty, cosmetic surgery, people chasing the dream of wanting to flow in money and live this rich, fabulous lifestyle. People are NOT showing their REAL SELVES and if you're NOT showing your real self, how are you gonna expect LONGEVITY in whatever you do??? Nobody will know who you are, in fact it will get to the stage where YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO YOUR REAL SELF IS. I don't like the limelight, NEVER HAVE n NEVER WILL, not because i'm shy or anything like that, i jus don't feel comfortable puttin myself 'out there' like that because I DON'T LIKE eyes on me. I prefer to live a QUIET SIMPLE LIFE and i WILL-no matter how CRAZY this world gets, I'M ALWAYS GOING TO REMAIN SIMPLE cos that's JUST ME!!!!!!
